“You never reap what you sow in the same season.” Before Mark and I were married, a mentor shared this wisdom with us. Years later, the phrase comes back to me, in light of parenting, when I consider 2 Corinthians 9:6:

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” (NIV)
